We are excited that you have chosen to be part of one of the most respected and successful instrumental music programs in Southern California! The Helix Instrumental Music Program has a long tradition of excellence, outstanding performances, and incredible alumni.

What Is Band Camp?

Band Camp is where our season begins. Over two exciting weeks, students learn the skills, music, movement, and teamwork needed to become successful members of the Helix Highlander Marching Band, Pipe Band, and Color Guard.

Students receive individual and group instruction from our outstanding staff and guest clinicians while building confidence, leadership, performance skills, and friendships that last well beyond the season.

What to Bring

• Your instrument or guard equipment
• Backpack
• Large water jug
• Sunscreen and lip balm
• Hat and sunglasses
• Athletic shoes
• Music binder with plastic sheet protectors
• Drill sheets
• Valve oil, slide oil, cork grease, or reeds as needed
• A healthy breakfast every morning

Registration Information

Parents & Sudents need to register in person for Band Camp July 19th

Prior to camp, families will attend a registration and paperwork session. Please check the Helix Instrumental Music website for dates, times, and required forms.

Family Showcase & BBQ

At the conclusion of camp, families, alumni, and friends are invited to join us for our end-of-camp performance and BBQ.

Come celebrate everything our students have accomplished in just two weeks. This is one of the highlights of the season and a favorite tradition for students, parents, and alumni alike.

Attendance Matters

Band Camp is where the entire competitive production is taught. Because of the amount of material covered, students who miss camp may not be eligible for a guaranteed performance position in the competitive field show.

If you want to be part of the show, be at camp from day one.
