Students and Staff commit to an 8 Hour Practice Challenge!!!

 

Are you up for our ChalleNge?


 

While in the Helix Instrumental Music Program, students will have the opportunity to perform and compete with other ensembles throughout Southern California and the United States in the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association, American Drumline Association and Winter Guard International.

 

Our award-winning Marching Band and Color Guard are preparing an amazing new field show, Journey in Time, for our home football game halftime shows and marching competitions at the regional and state levels. The Band and Color Guard have already put in dozens of hours of hard work since before the start of school. 

 

 

On Saturday, october 6th, the students and staff have challenged one another to participate in an 8-hour rehearsal. followed by a public performance and dinner celebration!!!

 
We have taken this pledge to raise money and community awareness of our program while perfecting our competitive show.

 

Now here is our challenge to you...

Each student's goal is to find at least 14 people to support and sponsor their efforts at $50.00 for the day. That’s only $6.25 per hour!

 

 

In order for students to participate and perform at the highest level possible, each student is trying to raise $700 for the competitive season. The money raised helps pay for transportation, uniforms, equipment/repairs, circuit fees, meals and Professional instruction.

 


 

You may certainly donate any amount you wish (even $10 will help). Any and all donations you make are tax-deductible. You can support a student or just make a general donation in support of our event by either mailing a check (payable to HIMA) to:

Please put student's name and the word “DONATION” on the check or PayPal memo section to help the students keep track of the donations raised. Also, they would like keep you up to date on our success throughout the season and upcoming performance opportunities. The Helix Instrumental Music Association hopes to receive donations and credit them toward our season before October 6, 2018.

 


Following our rehearsal ,  we will have a public 

performance and PAsta dinner in the stadium starting AT 6:00PM.
