PMAG Presents … A concert of Jazz and Latin Jazz featuring for the first time ever the two honor bands of the Grossmont Union High School District under the direction of Derek Cannon. Concert start at 12:00pm in the Helix Charter High School Center of the Perfomnong Arts. Tickets are $10 and can be puchased in advance by clicking below.
The Helix Instrumental Music Association is one of largest and most successful school music programs in east county San Diego. The Music Program at Helix currently consists of approximately 180 students in eight main groups: Drumline, Bagpipes, Color Guard, Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Wind Symphony. All three bands, as well as the color guard and bagpipes, combine to form the Helix Highlander Band.
Our foundation, the Helix Instrumental Music Association (HIMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Tax Id# 23-7255896 formed to support the Instrumental Music program at Helix Charter High School.
