Music in our schools is vitally important to the development of young leaders.  The award-winning Helix Instrumental Music Program includes approximately 150 students in seven different ensembles. We are extremely proud of the recognition our student programs bring to Helix and the La Mesa community each year and of the personal success stories and scholarship opportunities received by students who have gone through our department.

• Each year our charitable foundation, the Helix Instrumental Music Association 501c(3), conducts a fun-filled evening dedicated to raising much-needed funds in support of continued music education in the La Mesa community. Our 30th Annual Giving Gala will be held on Thursday, March 14th, at the Thursday Club in Point Loma, 1224 Santa Barbara St, San Diego, CA 92107. Proceeds from this event  provide repair and maintenance of instruments, outside professional instruction, transportation, performance opportunites, and scholarship funds.

We are a 501-c(3) organization our Federal Tax ID is 23-7255896. 

This is our largest fundraiser of the year and our goal is to raise $25,000. We look forward to seeing you there!
