The music programs of Helix Charter High School, La Mesa Arts Academy and Lemon Grove Science Academy come together for one amazing evening of wonderful music all on one stage.
The Helix Instrumental Music Association is one of largest and most successful school music programs in east county San Diego. The Music Program at Helix currently consists of approximately 180 students in eight main groups: Drumline, Bagpipes, Color Guard, Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Wind Symphony. All three bands, as well as the color guard and bagpipes, combine to form the Helix Highlander Band.
Our foundation, the Helix Instrumental Music Association (HIMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Tax Id# 23-7255896 formed to support the Instrumental Music program at Helix Charter High School.
